Maquah was diagnosed a month ago with a rare liver disease, Biliary Cancer. Today, after a bittersweet day at the beach where he carried his bumper with him everywhere, we said goodbye. Our elegant, goofy, obedient, boisterous, inventive, loyal, sweet, affectionate boy, Maquah. His every step was filled with immense joy and an infinite curiousity for whatever lay ahead. There's a huge hole in our hearts; part of me wants it to go away and part of me wants to never forget. We loved him so much.
